Planning of works
Adb is a highly destructive disease of Ash trees and very sadly is rapidly killing off a large amount of the trees. However that really doesn’t necessarily mean your Ash trees must be felled and removed straight away just because they are Ash. There are lots of factors involved in making the correct management plan, safety is an absolute priority of course but there will be lots of occasions where Ash trees can be retained or monitored.
We are well experienced in planning works of all scales, we work closely with what we consider to be one of the most knowledgeable Arboricultural consultants in the south west.
We have planned and completed works with Devon County Council, Devon Highways, the National Trust, Forestry England, Devon Wildlife Trust, Natural England plus many estates and land owners.
Required approvals
We are confidently able to apply for and complete any required traffic management, tpo/ca applications, felling licences, ecological issues to include checks and management of bats, birds, mice, badgers, reptiles etc. Tree in proximity to power lines and other services. Replanting of the sites.
Health & Safety
Ash can be a dangerous and unpredictable tree to work on at any time and this only gets worse when infected. We have invested hugely in to training and machines to try and minimise this risk.
In line with HSE/Arboriculture Assosiation requirements, we always try to undertake the works mechanically with the use of grapplesaws and or tree shears.
We avoid working at height, manual handling or putting people in dangerous positions. Our H&S advisor is one of the very best and hugely knowledgeable with regards to ADB.
We have invested heavily into our risk assessments and method statements.
Disposing of arisings/waste & condition of site
This needs to be carefully planned. We process everything mechanically and recycle responsibly. Your site will always be left immaculately tidy and with minimum disturbance.
Because we dismantle the trees mechanically it often allows us to lift the trees out with out any disturbance to other trees or understory at all.
We can mechanically rake and clear or mulch large sites (in house) to aid replanting.
Ash timber as a product has many uses and often has a value. We will always look to help clients achieve the best possible returns on sales from Ash to offset against any works.

We are always happy to share knowledge and make the best possible plan with our clients.
